I'm learning to read Japanese. Mostly because I've been reading a lot of yuri/slice of life manga recently and have been frustrated by the barrier of translations. Long-term I intend to practice writing & speaking too, but reading is the priority.

These days I'm very slowly working through WaniKani's kanji course with my partner. I'm also reading Yotsuba& and reading random japanese posts of BlueSky as general practice.

My initial introduction to Japanese was in high school, but most of the basic grammar I learned came from Tae Kim's very well-written guide.
